Brazilian Butt Lift

The Butt Lift, also known as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), is an aesthetic surgery that reshapes and improves the contour and size of the buttocks. This is done through the use of fat grafting and involves the transfer of fat from one area of the body into the tissues of the buttocks. It can be performed alone or along with other procedures, such as full body liposuction and tummy tuck.
This procedure is known for its ability to achieve dramatic results that look and feel natural, and it has become increasingly popular among women who desire a more curvaceous and sculpted silhouette. BBL improves the shape and projection of the butt, adds volume to it for a more balanced look, creates a more youthful appearance, improves body contour and waistline and corrects hip dips, in addition to delivering a long-lasting result.

At The Skin Clinic, we offer the latest techniques and advancements in BBL surgery to ensure that each patient achieves their desired outcome with minimal discomfort and recovery time.

You may want to consider butt lift if you have any of the following:

  • Your butt is small and disproportionate to your body and you would like a more balanced look.
  • You have a hip dip that is bothering you.
  • The shape of your butt is too flat or square and you desire more curves.
  • You have loose and sagging skin in your buttock area.

FAQ

1. How is a BBL performed?

This procedure takes fat from one area of the body (flanks, abdomen or thighs) through cannulas then processes it for fat transfer and re-injects it into the buttock cheeks to improve their volume and shape.

2. What to expect after the surgery?

It is normal to have swelling and some bruising for a few days after tummy tuck surgery, at The Skin Clinic we are proud to have developed techniques that reduce them tremendously. The recovery time is typically around 3-5 days during which you should rest and avoid straining.

  • You will feel some discomfort and soreness after the procedure but it will be controlled with pain meds.
  • You will need to wear tight garments for weeks to decrease the swelling.
  • You will need lymphatic drainage after surgery to reduce swelling more quickly.
  • You will be able to resume your normal activities within 5 days.
  • You will be able to return to work within a few days.
  • You will also be encouraged to sleep face down or sideways.
3. How long will the results last?

You will notice an improved body contour immediately after your procedure, but an accurate picture of your BBL results can take several months. During the procedure we overfill the buttock with fat taking into consideration that the body will absorb around 30% of the grafted fat over the next 3 months. The results are technically permanent and the remaining fat will stay there.
However, weight gain, aging, pregnancy, family genes, and lifestyle factors may affect your results. It is crucial to maintain healthy habits and a stable weight to maintain your liposuction and BBL results.

4. What type of incisions will I have?

In general, incisions will be very small 0.5-1 cm in length, placed in hidden areas and fade with time and become barely visible. At The Skin Clinic we also use laser skin resurfacing to improve the scar outcome.

5. What are the possible complications and risks of BBL?

Complications sometimes occur, but with proper patient preparation, careful execution and follow up we reduce their occurrence and if they ever occur we are able to manage them.
The risks of BBL surgery will be discussed in full details during the consultation.
