Brow Lift Surgery

A forehead lift, also known as a brow lift, is a cosmetic procedure designed to address signs of aging in the upper portion of the face. This surgery works to elevate the brow, diminish forehead wrinkles, and smooth out creases between the eyebrows, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
It can be performed alone or along with other procedures, such as eyelid surgery, facelift, fillers and botox.

During a forehead lift, our experienced surgeon will make incisions along the hairline or within the scalp to access and manipulate the underlying tissues and muscles. Depending on your unique needs, we may also trim away excess skin and reposition the eyebrows. We can perform this surgery using several techniques, including the traditional method and the endoscopic method, which uses smaller incisions for a more minimally invasive approach.

At The Skin Clinic, we prioritize individualized care and safety above all else. Our top-rated surgeon will work closely with you to understand your goals and create a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs. With state-of-the-art techniques and a commitment to patient satisfaction, we are dedicated to helping you achieve the best possible results from your forehead lift.

FAQ

1. What are the benefits of brow-lift surgery?

Brow-lift surgery raises the eyebrows to a more youthful position, repositions a low or sagging brow that hangs over your upper eyelid and smoothes the forehead creases.

2. What types of brow-lifts are there?

There are different brow-lift techniques, which involve different length incisions in different locations:

Endoscopic Brow Lift:
The endoscopic technique requires small incisions in the scalp behind the hairline through which we can access the tissue and muscle below the skin, raise the eyebrow and correct the source of visible creases and furrows in the forehead. It should be done under general anesthesia.

Temporal Lift:
It uses a small incision in the temporal area behind the hairline to elevate the tail of the eyebrow and the hooding upper eyelid through direct vision. While this procedure does not address the center area of the brow, it can reshape the eyebrow and reduce wrinkles at the corners of the eyes. It can be done under local anesthesia.

Direct Excision Brow Lift:
It uses a well hidden small incision directly above the eyebrow to lift it and reshape it. It can be done under local anesthesia and it is indicated for patients with tattooed brows or with thick and dense eyebrows.

3. What to expect after the surgery?

It is normal to have swelling and some bruising for a few days after brow-lift surgery, at The Skin Clinic we are proud to have developed techniques that reduce them tremendously. The recovery time is typically around a few days during which you should rest and avoid straining. You will be able to return to work 3-5 days after the procedure.

4. How long will the results last?

Although this surgery cannot keep your skin from aging in the future, it can rejuvenate the eyes and the forehead area for a long time. The results of brow lift surgery are immediately visible but it takes a few months for the final outcome to appear.

5. What are the possible complications and risks of brow-lift?

Complications sometimes occur, but with proper patient preparation, careful execution and follow up we reduce their occurrence and if they ever occur we are able to manage them.
The risks of brow lift surgery will be discussed in full details during the consultation.
